Yoga classes at Power of Your Om will give you a full-body workout, help to reduce your stress and anxiety and motivate you to be the best version of yourself. You will leave classes excited about the new thing your body and mind accomplished while also taking some nugget of wisdom into your life to give you more ease in relationships – especially the one with YOU! The teachers are constantly learning and growing so nothing stagnates and they are a real community – they know almost everyone’s name at the studio, they take classes with us, encourage each other, and make us laugh – creating the most uplifting atmosphere to push, play and expand into more than you thought possible.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Each class is an all levels practice - meet yourself where YOU are right now and do what you can. This powerful, energetic, playful, flowing class has a strong emphasis on breath and allows beginners, intermediate and advanced students to all be challenged in the same class.
Each class will torch calories, tone, strengthen, rinse your body, clear your mind and leave you with a sense of accomplishment and empowerment. The dynamic mix of sweat and spirit that is cultivated in a power yoga class will challenge you to step up to your edge and unlock your hidden potential for achieving authentic personal power and living an extraordinary life.
PREPARE FOR YOUR IN STUDIO PRACTICE
Show up on time. We begin promptly and cannot guarantee late entrance. Take time to park, walk and not be rushed.
Bring a mat, towel and water with you to class. If you don’t have them, we rent them or you can purchase them.
Wear non-restrictive clothing and plan to be barefoot - no, you don’t need a pedicure to do yoga.
Our company will not ask for nor share medical information. Please be healthy upon arrival.

+ What Is Power Yoga?
A potent physical yoga practice, meditation practice and active self inquiry are used as tools of transformation and possibility. … We use The Baptiste Yoga™ methodology as a guide to the practice supporting you to raise your vitality and physical power, and will empower you to create accelerated results in your overall body strength and confidence. Mastery comes from repetetion so expect to revisit a similar sequence in each class.
+ How Often Should I Practice?
Successful yoga practice requires discipline and wisdom. Consistency is the key to success. For life-changing results practice at least 2 times a week. Yoga is more than a workout – it’s a wake-up call to your whole life.
+ Can Beginners Take Class?
We offer a basic yoga classes every Tuesday at 9am and Wednesday at 6pm. iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation on Tuesday at 10:30am and Yin Yoga on Friday at 6p, is also a great way to ease in. Give yourself some grace - keep showing up. You will catch on quicker than you realize. Drop "doing it right" and put attention on what you are feeling and experiencing. That is where the biggest growth exists. The benefits of yoga can occur in one class and consistency is key and they last forever.
+ Can Kids Take Class?
Children 7 and up are welcome to a class with a parent. Yoga is a practice of adaptation, integration, and fun – great for kids.
+ Will Class Be Challenging For Me?
Yes and YOU determine the intensity with which you work in each pose and throughout the process. If you are sore after your first class, come back the next day... keep moving. Sitting creates stiffness.
+ How Does This Yoga Differ From Other Types Of Yoga?
This yoga is based on intuition rather than tradition. We have a standard sequence of postures we follow but consider it to be a blueprint from which we create.
+ What If I've Never Done Yoga?
We encourage you to develop a flexible mind, attend our beginners class on Wednesday evenings at 7pm OR schedule a private lesson with us. You don’t need to be physically flexible or physically strong. All you need is to focus on letting go, breathing, moving and respecting your limitations. A yoga pose will expose imbalances, as well as physical and emotional blocks. Soon the tension, and sometimes fear will release and your range of motion will naturally increase.
+ Does Power Yoga Incorporate Meditation?
We are having you meditate the whole time you are in class…without you realizing it. A more vigorous class is not necessarily less meditative than a slower, mellow class. The ingredients for creating a meditative state are the integrity of the teacher, and the focused attention the student brings to the practice on any one thing at a time; such as your breath.
+ Does Yoga Incorporate Breathing Exercises?
From the moment you land on your mat we teach and encourage a breathing practice. Even if you show up and lay on your mat for 60 minutes, you will do wonders for your body and mind.
+ How does the practice of yoga, meditation and breathing work to help my body?
Giving yourself a 60-minute break from your whole life, first and foremost will cause peace and freedom everywhere. Second, if you've ever felt stiff, tight, stuck or even crabby, it's likely you just need to move the energy around. The yoga poses do just that... they unblock your stuck spots through movement, deep breathing and focused concentration. We dare you to try it!
+ Is It Safe To Practice While Pregnant?
Yes. We offer prenatal classes on Thursdays at 10:30am AND Yoga isn’t just about moving your body – it allows you to connect with yourself, give yourself the space and time you need to be a better human to everyone that you are around. The hormones during pregnancy are no joke and practicing Baptiste Yoga gives you access to living a more vibrant life for you and your growing baby. We are here to empower you. The heat is different than traditional "hot" yoga so make sure to inform your health care provider of this before they immidately give you advice about what they aren't sure of. + What If I Can't Touch My Toes?
You should be in class. If you want to move well when you are 80, the earlier you start moving mindfully, the better. We will welcome you and make sure you feel at hOMe. The poses will tell your body where you can and cannot go. Eventually, your mind will learn to listen to your body and not the other way around. The more you practice, the more tension will be released and your range of motion will increase.
